Feed efficiency (FE) is a key trait for animal production. Residual feed intake (RFI) is the most explored FE trait due to its moderate heritability and independence of animal performance. Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) for FE in Hereford are available in Uruguay, and a comprehensive investigation of the associations of FE with other traits, including reproductive performance is ongoing. |
